Group Classes

I offer structured classes for juniors of all ages and levels of ability.  My classes are a fun, challenging opportunity to work with the kids on drills, footwork, serving practice, point play and strategy instruction.  I use multiple courts at Colorado Athletic Club-Monaco for my classes, both indoor and outdoor (weather permitting).  Several coaches work with me in practices, with four to six students per coach/court, ensuring adequate time and attention is spent with each student.  My classes are multi-level and tiered, with the goal of moving from the least to the most advanced classes as your student progresses in his or her ability.  I evaluate each potential new student during an initial session and then, in a post-evaluation meeting, together we will determine the best placement for your child.

Below is a list of classes, with more information about the schedule and structure of each.

Beginners

Saturdays 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 pm.

This class is designed for students new to the game of tennis, typically ages 4 – 10.  Students learn grip, ball management, foot positioning, ready position and the basic  structure of the game.  The length of the session can vary by student and range from 1 hour to 2 hours, depending on the duration of time that the student is able to maintain focus. Through participation and work in the Beginners class, students gain the experience and technique to allow them to move into Masters, and eventually, Extreme classes.

Cost: $20 for 1 hour, $30 for 1.5 hours, $40 for 2 hours

Masters

Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 3:30 p.m. – 5:30 pm.

This class is designed for students who have already experience in tennis, optimally at a competitive level playing in USTA-sanctioned junior tournaments.  The focus of these classes is to reinforce the basics, develop muscle memory for the proper techniques, learn advanced shots and footwork, strategize and construct a point, and hone mental toughness.  Class sessions are two hours, one to two days per week, and students are expected to have the focus and drive to attend the full session.  Occasional scheduling exceptions are granted where student schedules conflict with class time.  With time, students gain the experience and technique to allow them to move into Extreme classes.

Cost: $60 for 2 hours

Extreme

Sundays 1:30 p.m. – 3:30 pm.
